The song’s chorus was penned and sung by Midori, a young Zimbabwean artist based in Houston, Texas. The talented vocalist displays her unique vocal tone in what is sure to be the first of many impressive performances as she solidifies her solo career.

Rayhaan Jassat’s love affair with the creative arts has been a lifelong romance. From playing his father’s records in Harare’s Braeside suburb, to starting one of Zimbabwe’s most popular streetwear brands to headlining festivals such as HIFA where he is more popularly known as RayDizz.  It was this love for design and music that took RayDizz to Totton College (Southampton, UK) where he attained an Art & Design Degree.

Utilising an unmatched combination of talent & an enduring work ethic; Ray focused on mastering his craft & perfecting his sets at house parties & small functions in Southampton, while still finding time to focus on his studies.  His hard work began to bear fruits when he was invited to play at The Ministry of Sound in London.  He then went on to collaborate with several UK producers & artists, including DJ Semtex & Dready (Lloyd Bank’s Any Girl).

In 2009 RayDizz returned home & hit the ground running.  Picking up where he left off in the UK, he began working with one of Zimbabwe’s most popular club DJ’s – Rax.  Later RayDizz and Rax would partner with DJ Rawse to form the most popular DJ ensemble in Zimbabwe at the time R3.  Further success followed in 2010 when RayDizz won The Zimbabwean Battle of the DJ’s competition. In 2011 Ray notched up more achievements as he was selected to open for American artist Sean Kingston during his Harare show.

In 2014 RayDizz beat out competition from Zimbabwe and South Africa to win the Miller SoundClash competition.  The prize included a 1 year Brand Ambassador deal for Miller Genuine Draft, becoming the first Zimbabwean DJ to play the big room at the world-famous Marquee Club in Las Vegas, a feature in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs In The World Issue and a spot to DJ at the DJ Mag Party.

In the following years RayDizz was selected to be the first Zimbabwean to DJ on DSTV’s popular reality show, Big Brother Africa Amplified (2012), as well as open up for P-Square, Ice Prince, Davido, D’Banj, Cassper Nyovest, AKA, Khuli Chana, Mi Casa, DJ Maphorisa, Nasty C and Prince KayBee.

RayDizz has also headlined several festivals including Vic Falls Carnival, Shoko Festival, Harare International Festival Of the Arts as well as touring across SADC with invitations to play at popular spots such as Sumo and Harem in Johannesburg. In 2017 RayDizz toured the United States where he performed at Mazi in Queens New York and The Madrone Lounge in San Francisco.

In the time since RayDizz has taken his career to even greater heights by securing his position as one of the best and most popular DJs in Zimbabwe. He currently holds a residency at Harare’s biggest night club – Pabloz and is a regular headliner at one of Harare’s most popular recurring outdoor events – Fiesta.

As a producer & artist RayDizz has released a number of chart-topping singles such as 729 (2013), She Loving The Crew (2014), Don’t Delay (2016) and Panado (2019).

Currently, RayDizz is finalising the release of his debut project W.E.I.R.D. which is set to feature collaborations from a number of local and international artists.
