Masawara companies come together to help the Chikomba community

Companies in the Masawara Group, which is comprised of the Zimnat Insurance Group, Cresta Group of Hotels, Minerva Risk Advisors, BIC, Dandemutande and Grand Re-Insurance, have come together to “Make Life Better” for the Chikomba East community.

As part of the “Simukai Development Project” which is a village initiative started by Hon Dr Sekai Nzenza the member of parliament for the Chikomba East constituency and Minister of Industry and Commerce, the Masawara group made life better by donating a solar-powered borehole and nutrition garden for a disadvantaged community.

Speaking on behalf of Masawara, the Masawara Insurance cluster Chief Executive Officer Mustafa Sachak said “Chikomba East is one of the less developed communities in our country, and  access to clean water is vital, now more than ever as the nation continues to fight against the Covid 19 Pandemic. We are grateful to our partners on the project, Skylake Boreholes who were eager to Make Life Better with us and really did an outstanding job in installing this borehole”

The Masawara group officially handed over the borehole and nutrition garden to the Hon Minister and Chikomba community on Friday 21 August 2020 at Mhari High, a school in Chikomba.

“As corporates that function within a society it is important that we come together in times of need to help make the lives of our fellow Zimbabweans better . We continue to urge everyone to remain vigilant in the fight against the pandemic and to always adhere to the safety guidelines. It is important that we open our hearts during these difficult times

We hope that this borehole and garden will go a long way in making the lives of Chikomba East truly better as they too fight the pandemic and while creating sustenance  for their families” he added
