Chapungu FC Coach Rodwell Dhlakama says his team is not yet settled despite being safely out of the relegation zone just a few games past the mid-season break.

Speaking after a goalless draw against Triangle United at Ascot Stadium, Dhlakama said considering their team’s log standings the team is not yet comfortable on 9th position.

“We were disappointed that they could have made the maximum points especially considering the log standings. Where we are sitting is not pretty. We can fight for honours and also be down there fighting against relegation which is not good,” Dhlakama said.

Dhlakama said he was satisfied from the point they salvaged from Triangle.

“It was a complicated game. Chances we created but far apart. The team did well especially in the second half. A point is better than nothing,” he said

Dhlakama went on to say that his troops need to solider on and amend the mistakes observed in the previous games since there are still more games to be played.

“We won two games on the road before the last game that we were defeated so we were looking forward to win the game as we were playing at home but we cannot sit down and say that’s the end of the road because we still have games to play,” he said.

However, Triangle Coach Taurai Mangwiro said he was disappointed with the way his team played.

“I didn’t expect a draw. I was disappointed that we couldn’t win it. Chapungu got four out of six possible points in two fixtures that were played. We are disappointed at the same time happy to have kept the sixth clean sheet inside seven games, said Mangwiro.

He added that Triangle need to be making up for the lost ground as two points have dropped due to the draw.

After 22 games Chapungu is currently on 9th position having won 7 games, drawing 8 and losing 7, with 29 points, 9 points behind log leaders CAPS United who are on 38 points and 12 points clear of bottom placed Yadah FC who are on 17 points.
